Located near Monarch Pass, this trip has everything you could want in a Jeep Tour: Views, history, and excitement! We follow the trail of prospectors in the Garfield Mining District that found abundant gold, silver, iron, marble, and quartz. Our expert guides will take you to many mines where we will identify and collect specimens among the rustic buildings and tailings piles. Then HANG ON as we ascend and traverse over 5000 feet to the remnants of the old Arial Tramway which is still an engineering achievement to behold. BRING YOUR CAMERA for the views, the ancient Bristle Cone Pine Trees, and the abundant wildlife throughout the area. |
